Mia Mariu Mi Dulzura Lip Gloss & Mineral Foundation Review

I have been embracing make-up.  I used to think all make up would clog my pores, and make ones face seem oily til I discovered Mineral Foundation.  I don't think of make up like that at all now.  Ideal make up for me would be age-defying, hydrating, and full of minerals.  Something that will not make me look older, or oily.

Wearing Mia Mariu Mineral Foundation & Lip Gloss

Mia Mariu  Perfecting Finish Mineral Foundation did not clog my pores, my skin looks even toned even without any powder, and I don't feel oily.  Honestly I forget it's even on.  There is no weird make up scent.  No uneven skin tones,  for someone that doesn't do her makeup I even had an easy time applying it.  What makes Mia Mariu stand out to me than the rest are the natural minerals, green tea, lecithin, and vitamins A&E.   I'm someone that believes in skin hydration, not to just cover up the problem areas.

Now lip gloss I am not afraid of at all.  I was excited that Mia Mariu sent me Dulzura (Sweet) Luminous Lip Gloss.  The gloss really is sweet,  after I applied it, I just wanted to smack my lips together because it tastes like cake.  I usually don't wear pinks, but it grew on me.  It doesn't look bad on me at all.  It's not too shiny, and not too dull.  It's also full of vitamins.  This is a color I can see myself wearing to any event, day or night.  Plus, with the cooler weather approaching, it's nice to have lip gloss on to protect my lips from the elements.

Mia Mariu Dulzura CLG02

I'm loving this line on me.  I've received so many compliments on my skin, and lips today that I will continue to wear Mia Mariu.  I know once my sister see's this shade of pink, and smells it she's going to be begging me for it, but no way! It's mine!  I received these products to sample for free for my honest, open opinion, but my Sis doesn't need to know that.

Almondina Cookies Review & Giveaway

I don't know about you, but anything made by Grandma Dina sounds great to me.  What's created are Almondina, An  All natural, No Added Fat Or Salt, No Cholesterol, and No Preservatives. It's the award winning recipe the way Grandma Dina used to make in her kitchen.

The Almond Cookies are pretty tasty.  Almondinas are thin, crispy cookies.  They are full of flavor, and great natural ingredients.  Even my Toddler loved them, and kept stealing them from off my plate. Four cookies are about a serving size, my favorites were the Sesame Almondina, and they were 138 Calories for 4.

They were almost too beautiful to eat, and please, never, ever call them the B word.. They aren't, they are so much better, and a more healthier alternative.

I received the Sesame, Original, Chocolate Cherry, Choconut, and Ginger Spice for review.  The whole family enjoyed them all.  It's just wonderful to find a product that we all can eat, that isn't horrible for you.

Little back history of Almondina, Current Owner for the past two decades, Yuval Zaliouk was a world renown musical conductor.  Zaliouk's company is based in Ohio and his Almondina cookies are sold in all 50 States and several foreign countries. Ozeri Eco Friendly Green Earth Ceramic NonToxic Pans

I've been trying to lead a more Eco-Friendly Green life style since my leg injury, I have to watch my intake on everything, that made me realize how many toxins our bodies actually come into contact with. What we don't even realize we are consuming by the things we cook with.

I started to question,  Where do you think those Teflon Non Stick Coatings go?

The more I read, the more it freaked me out on how there are over 15 different types of gases that can be released in those pans. It happens when a certain temperature is reached, say you left your pan on for preheating.. Seriously, Why did I buy those $50.00 pans? If It was coated with poison? It can also cause Polymer Flu Like symptoms, and can be fatal to birds.

I just refuse to cook with anything coated with Teflon anymore.  I'm not saying something else is healthier, YOU be the judge of that, I'm just saying, Those gases go somewhere.  There are way too many choices out there than to use those types of pans.

This is my new Baby, I use her about twice a day. Shes the 12" Green Earth Pan by Ozeri which is 100% PTFE and PFOA Free!!

Ozeri has a line of Green Earth Pans, From Sauce pans, to frying, even a Wok by Ozeri.  I've been using my 12" Pan for awhile now, and I seriously threw all my other pans away after reading what those nonstick coatings can do.  I didn't know.  I'm upset with myself that I bought those expensive nonstick pans, and never thought to question what made them nonstick.  I will never go back to them.

The layering of the ECozeri Ceramic Eco-Friendly pan is pretty high tech, and just worth buying just because of its technology for evenly cooking, and being nonstick by the layers of Ceramic Coating.

I've cooked just about everything in mine.  I used virgin coconut oil to fry Fried Chicken (Wheat Flour, with coconut shreds, so delish.) I even made Rice with Kale.  We eat a lot of Veggy Burgers, and they were great fried in the pan.

It's proved to me what It's capable of doing, and the price? There is always a deal on Amazon for the ECozeri, Ozeri Eco-Friendly Pans.  I'm getting myself the Wok soon.  I'm completely set on being healthier for my family, and I.  It's little steps like this that make a difference in the long run.

If you have any questions for Ozeri on their Ecozeri Green Earth Pans, You can message them on Ozeri Products Facebook Wall.

Below is actual Coconut Fried Chicken I made in my pan. It tastes just as good as it looks!  If you don't believe me, I've added my personal recipe too.

Ingredients:

  • Pepper tsp
  • Season All  tsp
  • Nutmeg 1/2 tsp
  • Shredded Coconut  1/3 cup
  • Eggs
  • Wheat Flour  2 cups
  • Virgin Coconut Oil
  • Thawed Chicken Tenders
Directions:

First mix the Flour, Pepper, Season All, Nutmeg in a bowl by itself, and mix, then add in the Shredded Coconut.  Mix again.

The eggs you crack into a separate bowl, mix, This is used to dip the chicken in, and then once the chicken is coated with egg, you dip it into the flour mix.  I do this about three times.

The frying pan I turn on High, and let the Coconut Oil heat up, always drop the breaded chicken tenders into a hot frying pan, warm, and just turned on will not work, and you might loose some of your breading.

Once its in the pan, I turn the heat down to Medium, and let it cook, don't flip them too soon,  make sure they are nice and crispy before going to the other side.  Also, I move the tenders in the pan around, that makes sure I don't have to add more coconut oil, and nothing tried to stick in the Ecozeri Earth Pan.  I'm really loving that pan.

Verdict:  GREAT PAN!  Super easy to rinse clean. I received this pan for free for my honest, open, opinion. And, can be found on Amazon too! For under $40.00,I love amazon. I know others that love it too, just like me, I save up Amazon Giftcards I've earned from various Social Media Word Of Mouth sites, and then I splurge on Amazon with something I want.  Ozeri WOK is going to be my next Kitchen Splurge.

With the holidays coming up, if any of my family members or friends that read my blog, want to know what to get me, I need more of these pans, Thank you very much, Lol. You know I'm not joking too!

TRUE Lemon Review & Giveaway

My family, and I have been eating healthier, and really don't want to waste calories on things that we drink, or spices/seasonings we add to our meals.  True Citrus is 100% Natural.  I enjoy all the flavors, it can be used for individual drinks,  or add to a bigger mixture, even the true lemon, and lime can be added when cooking, or baking.

I can't drink the same exact thing everyday, or I get extremely bored, and will start to crave other drinks.  Those other drinks are full of sugar, and unwanted calories.  True Lemon helps me not want anything else since I can easily change up what I am drinking.

The baby, and I loved the raspberry lemonade, and the grapefruit.  It was easy to use, and delicious.

The TRUE Grapefruit comes in individual packets that are easy to add to whatever you are making, say iced tea, or to make your own TRUEaid (like Koolaid), add fresh juice, and some extra Grapefruit kick to it for some Vitamin C.

I also steamed broccoli, and added the True Lemon Cooking Seasoning.  All I did was sprinkle the Lemon on, sprayed a little bit of 0 calorie butter spray, and used my rice cooker/steamer.  This also comes in Lime for cooking/baking, Next  time I buy Avocados I am going to try the Lime with them.

Really, whatever you eat now, instead of how some people add ketchup, or mustard, bbq sauce to everything they eat, maybe true True Lemon instead.

There is Grapefruit, Orange, Lemon, Lime, Raspberry Lemonade, Original Lemonade.

I love True Lemon, and I think it's a great way to activate the taste buds while enjoying everyday tasks we already do.  People always say they don't eat healthy because the food tastes too plain.  Well, Try adding seasoning to the food that isn't horrible, or more calories than the meal itself.  Most wasted calories are consumed in drinks, and "toppings" for meals.

If you are bored with just regular chicken, Try Lime Chicken, with some cilantro, over rice.

You can find great recipes on True Lemons website, and learn how to Live TRUE.

I am excited that I get to do a Giveaway to one lucky follower for The Same TrueLemon Box I received, This box is by far one of my favorite things I've reviewed.

YumEarth Organics Lollipops, Review & Giveaway

Yummy Earth Organic Lollipops are my new favorites.  I am completely amazed at how much flavor these have for being made with real fruit extracts, and no artificial colors.  There is also 100% Vitamin C daily value in each serving.  The concept of Yum Earth is just fantastic,  Created for Lollipop Candy fans, and by Dads.  Everything YumEarth makes is certified organic, or all natural, gluten-free, peanut-free, tree-nut free, and has no chemical colors, no artificial flavors, or no high fructose corn syrup.  Really, all of that is a bonus, because the Lollipops flavors are just so great they literally make your mouth water.  My taste buds were in over drive.

My all time favorite flavor out of the Family Size Assorted Bag (40+ Lollies) were the Mango Tangos.  I may, or may not have shared a lot of those.. M I N E.. My 2nd favorite were the Very Very Cherry.  I've always loved sweet things, like jolly ranchers,  charms lollipops, nerds, etc,  and, in all honesty,  YumEarths Lollies has them all beat.

Arctic Zero Ice Cream, 150 Calorie Pints, Best Find EVER

Arctic Zero Review & Giveaway,

All I can really say about this ice cream is.. I LOVE THIS ICE CREAM.  I'm not sorry about the CAPS. Seriously, I absolutely love this ice cream, and it's really low calorie.

The brand is called Arctic Zero, I received a shipping cooler full for free ( 8 pints, and 2 boxes of bars.)  I was in ice cream heaven.  First off, I want to let you know when it says Arctic Zero... It really is arctic, as in It is so cold! I didn't know what to expect when I opened the cooler it was delivered in.  You know when its really hot out, and you open the freezer to get something? And, the coldness pours out, and hits you in the face.  That's what it was like.  I imagined I was in the arctic, ice pick in hand.. finding the most greatest discovery ever.

(My husband had fun playing with the dry ice thats at the bottom of the cooler)

As far as calories, each pint was only 150 calories.  Honest to Bob! Just 150 calories.  I am still in shock about that.  I loved all 8 flavors of the pints.

Here are my favorites in order:  Vanilla Maple,  Coffee,  Pumpkin Spice,  Mint Choco Cookie, Strawberry, Chocolate, Chocolate Peanut butter, and Cookies & Cream.

You can make Floats!! (Imagine Cream Soda, W/Vanilla Maple) or even just eat it straight from the pint.  I always have graham crackers around, so I made little ice cream sandwiches too.  Shakes,  Smoothies, Whatever tickles your sweet tooth pickle.

As for the boxes of bars, Those are only 85 calories.  I really enjoyed them.  They are chocolate coated, and my favorite was the orange icecream w/the chocolate.  For bars, theres orange, strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla.

What I love most about this product was I did not feel guilty for enjoying a snack.  It made me realize I can eat something others might consider a "reward."

This product, I actually went back out, and bought more of the Vanilla Maple, Coffee, and Pumpkin Spice.  My local Krogers carries the Pints, but not the bars. It's about $4-5.00 for the pints, which it is well worth being able to eat desert without feeling like a total fatty.  I loved it.  Every night I would portion my dinner, and add in the extra 150 calories so I can have ice cream.  Beats, wasting 500 calories on a bowl of something else.

If you are an avid Amazon shopper,  You can get free super saving shipping on Arctic Ice products, I'm always saving up Amazon Gift cards I've earned from various things I'm part of.  There is a store locator on Arctics Website too if you're interest in finding some in your area.

Overall Experience:   Greatest find, ever. My new favorite Ice cream go to snack.  I highly recommend the Vanilla Maple, Coffee & Pumpkin Spice.

Now it's giveaway time!! I am so happy to have been able to review Arctic Zero, and one lucky follower gets a shipping cooler full delivered to them from Arctic Zero too!! I'm also celebrating my Facebook 2,000 Likes!! What's better than a cooler full of ice cream!?!

Sprout Robot Tells You When, And What To Plant In Your Garden!!

I came across SproutRobot.com, and instantly signed up.   I signed up because I love nature.  I also believe more people should give back to it, and grow something beautiful.

Why not grow something beautiful that you can eat?

This site makes it easier by putting all the guess work, and research into what Climate Zones can grow what, and when.  You just have to search by Zipcode, and it even emails you to remind you to plant.  I forget things lately, sooo that reminder is something I will enjoy.

This week I could be planting, collard greens, daikon radish, kohirabi, head lettuce, kalte, carrots, parsnips, turnips, rutabega, radishes, leaf lettuce, argula, spinach, mustard greens, beets, and transplant broccoli outdoors.

It even tells me what to start indoors as far as seedlings,

Week Of December 31, Start cabbage indoors.

Week Of January 21, Start leeks indoors.

This is SO cool, and I am getting ahead of myself.

Balmers Monkey Balm Review Not Just For Babies

Balmers Monkey Balm Review and Giveaway!!! by Angel *GreenVics* & Baby Sy;

This balm is a triple threat, It's an organic supersized vitamin bar for the whole body, It also works great, and for more than just one thing at a low price.  I have been using it on the eczema the baby gets on his cheeks.  He doesn't like when I use the tube straight on him, so I rub it on my hands first, and then gently on his face.

Only a little bit of the stick is gone, but I've been using it over a month now. I didn't just use it on the baby,
I also used some when my feet had sunburn, and it helped w/the flaking.  A little bit goes a long way.
Then my 20month old had his first heat rash around his chubby little legs, I used the Monkey balm again, and it went away the next day.  This was when Ohio had those freakishly 100+ humid days, He's my winter baby, and he's not used to heat.

Balmers, MonkeyBalm.com "This formula includes all-natural ingredients and features the amazing healing power of the sea buckthorn berry. Sea Buckthorn (seed and fruit) oil is time-tested and clinically proven to soothe irritation and heal dry, cracked, even abrasive skin resulting from eczema, rosacea, dry climates, seasonal changes, sunburn, rashes, and even minor burns and wounds. Sea buckthorn has been used for centuries in Asia and Europe to heal skin problems and is considered a "Holy Fruit" by ancient and modern Tibetans. "

Verdict:  I absolutely love this stuff. It's safe for the whole family.  I am someone that wont use chapstick, but I do carry a tube of Vitamin E in my purse.  This has been my goto tube for the baby, easy to throw in the diaper bag too.

(His little face is perfect!!!)

I would recommend Balmers Monkey Balm to every new parent, well, and to any parent for that matter.  From skin type, to even elements in the weather,  a tube of this would be a great investment in skin care.

Another great thing about Monkeybalm.com, is the 100% money back guarantee.  Not alot of companies offer that anymore.  Or, buy 2, get free shipping,  2 tubes would probably last us years,  seriously, just a little bit, is so thick, and condensed I had to smooth it out in my hands first, then I rubbed onto the babies face.   I received this stick for free, I was not asked how to use it, or told what to write.  It worked great on Sy's sensitive skin. I used it on myself, and on the baby,  It being all natural, and no harsh chemicals like some baby lotion/balms out there made me feel better about using it, and giving it a review.

24 HOUR FLASH GIVEAWAY: I am trying something new,  To enter the giveaway you just have to leave a comment saying You want to be entered! It's a 24Hr Flash Giveaway!!! Starts 8/22/2012, 4PM, Ends 8/23/2012, 4PM EST.

Omax3 Ultra-Pure Review

I've been reviewing,The Ultra Omega-3 supplement Omax3 softgels the last past month, what I like about the omax3 is that there is no weird after taste, and I'm not burping up fish oil. They are extremely easy to swallow. That's what happens to me when I take fish oil. I'm fine, til a few hours later then the taste comes back up. I know.. I know, that's nasty, but that's just what happens to me. With the Omax3's I still got my the right ratio of EPA/DHA, and it is 10x more than Fish/Krill Oil alone.

My body needs the extra fatty acids, to help with inflammation.  I fractured, and separated my leg years ago, but there is still metal hardware that makes it possible for my knee to bend.  I have what is called an Open Reduction Internal Fixation.  Just a fancy way of saying there is a leg brace under the skin drilled to bone, and cadavers that looks like a keenex set.   I don't believe in taking a chemical induced cocktail of drugs that's supposed to help nerve damage, and bone pain.  I just wont do it.  The side affects of those drugs out weigh the benefits of just a healthier diet, trying to keep weight off myself, and taking pills like Omega-3 supplements to help blood flow, and cholesterol.  I'm not a doctor, and I'm not saying this would be your cure all drug,  what I am saying is I already took pills like this before, and I will continue taking Omega-3 supplements.

Everyone should ask themselves,
  • Am I getting enough omega-3 fatty acids in my diet?
  • What are Omega-3's good for?
  • Why does my body need supplements like this?

These are all questions you need to research, and ask your doctor about before taking a supplement.  In past experience, a good doctor will seek out dietitian help, homeopathic alternatives, and not just throw their patients on some type of chemical altering pill.  I understand sometimes those pills are needed, but there are cases where they aren't.

This really is something I feel strongly about.  Bad things happen mostly not from the direct cause, but from a side affect caused from something else completely.

Omax3.com's website states,

"Omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids have a role in regulating natural inflammatory responses.

Omega-3 fatty acids reduce inflammation response within the body and omega-6 fatty acids promote inflammation.

Early human diets were high in omega-3-rich content, leading toward a balanced (1:1) ratio in omega-6 to omega-3 fatty acids. Unfortunately, the modern Western diet has tilted the scale to a lopsided (1:15) omega-3 to omega-6 ratio.4

Science strongly suggests that restoring the balance between omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids can restore proper inflammatory responses within the body ."

One Lucky Follower, Must be 18+yrs of Older, Can Win One Month Supply Of Omax3's. U.S. Residents Only. Giveaway begins 8/20/12, ends 8/31/12. Rafflecopter chooses at random the winner. Winner has 7 buisness days to reply, if no reply prize is forfeited and another winner will be chosen. Omax3 is responsible for prize fullfillment.

DIY Gummies Kit Review & Giveaway

Glee Gum, Make Your Own Gummies Kit,

Most people think of gelatin when they think of ingredients used for Gummies. Gelatin is collagen(bones.) It's pretty disgusting knowing those cute teddy bear shaped characters are made out of bones.

The kit I used has no gelatin in it, at all. The process uses Seaweed. You actually get dried seaweed to add to water, and powdered seaweed. The natural seaweed gel used are called, carrageenan, and agar. If you say Eww, I would never use seaweed, honestly you should take a look into the ingredients in everyday things you use, like toothpaste, deodorant, pudding, salad dressing, cottage cheese, or even sometimes sandwich meat. Look for carrageenan, and agar.

There is no "sea" taste to seaweed in the Gummies Kit. I was very pleased with the outcome, and We had so much fun using it. The kit itself comes with, Sea Weed, Sea Weed Powder, Corn Starch, Sugar, and Sour Mix.

First Step is to Soak the Sea Weed in water(Don't use the powder just yet, That is for later, It should look like this.)

While the seaweed was soaking, I used a glass pan to dump the starch in, then a spoon to spread the corn starch evenly about, I didn't try to make it perfect, but just flat enough. The corn starch is used because Glee wants you to have fun, and be creative making your own molds. I used an old teether, and a bottle cap. You can use whatever you want for your impressions.

Now you take the powdered Seaweed, add 1/2 cup of water, mix, don't worry about the lumps, Take the seaweed from out the bowl and place it into the mixture you just made, I microwaved mine for 2 mins til if foamed. After that you take the seaweed pieces out (there will be a gel formed around it, that is great!! make sure the gel stays in the bowl, and you take just the seaweed out.) I then mixed the Colored Sugar to the bowl, and microwaved for another minute.

After that I poured the liquid mixture over top the impressions I made in the Corn Starch. It looks weird at first, but I knew there were still more steps to do. I had a little bit of the mixture left so I poured it into a small plate (I had plans for that later.) I placed both into the fridge to chill for 10 mins.

After 10 minutes I took the gummies out, and used a damp napkin to get the powder off the shapes I made. I placed each shape onto the plate. I then used scissors to cut the excess off the shapes. Remember that plate of gummies? I peeled the whole thing off, and used it to cut Vic's name out of. The excess of both shapes, I used and cut into squares, placed those into a plastic baggy filled with the sour mix, and shook.

I didn't want the bigger gummies to get messed up, so I hand sprinkled the sour mix onto them while on the plate, flipped them, and did the other side too.

I loved how they turned out. They are delicious, and when my husband came home I had to slap his fingers from opening the baggy of the square gummies I had put aside for the babies snacks.

This was a fun, easy, great tasting treat. They taste so good! You can't even tell they are made from seaweed. I loved the detail from the impressions I used.

I really want to try all of Glees Do It Yourself Kits. This was a fantastic learning experience. I feel as a mother, I have learned something to pass down to my son.

I want fun things like this to be our thing to share. I'm pleased to share this with you, too. One lucky follower, thanks to Glee Gum for sponsoring this will win a DIY Glee Gum Make Your Own Gummies Kit too.

Don't forget when you leave a comment, use a valid email. I want everyone to be able to enter, and have fun.

Bumble Bar Organic Sesame Bars

Gluten Free Bumble Bars,

I'm a bit eccentric when it comes to my taste of health bars. I like a vast variety of things, tastes, and textures. The more different they are than the main stream full of sugar brands, the better.

Bumble Bars are Gluten Free, Organic, Natural Sesame Bars. I, personally LOVE sesame seeds. The bars I tried were Junior Size.

Organic Sesame Bar, Original Peanut
Organic Sesame Bar, Chocolate Crisp
Organic Sesame Bar, Amazing Almond

My son is 18 months, and I tell him Bumble Bars are his "candy bars." He also believes Graham crackers are "cookies." Shhh, Don't you dare tell him other wise. Both of our favorite, of course, were the Chocolate Crisp. I seriously did not want to share with him. It's like a sesame nut chocolate rice crispy treat. Thats my best way to explain the taste, and texture. Original Peanut, and Amazing Almond were both wonderful too, but Chocolate Crisp, hands down, the best I've tried. The new flavors I want to try are, Chocolate Mint, and Chocolate Peanut Butter. I really need to try the variety packs. There are even Sesame Seed Fruit Bars.

The bars are beautifully made, the ones I tried were almost all sesame with either peanuts, or almonds. The processing agents are Sunflowers & Safflower Oil. I post about Safflower oil all the time, I mostly use Safflower Oil in everything I make too. Other ingrediants you may know off hand that's in the product are Flax Seed Oil, and Vitamin E.

Check Out The Bumble Bar Mad Scientist; Part 1. It'll give you more details on Bumble Bar, and What other bars really put inside their bars.

I'm not saying this will help your health, but with a great diet, exercise, and organic healthy alternatives like this, It really is a start.

You can find Bumble Bars on Facebook, and Twitter.

Disclaimer: I received product in exchange to do a review. They didn't ask me, or tell me what to say. I'm 100% honest with my reviews, and I always test the product enough to give it a fair opinion.

PB Crave Review & Giveaway.

PB Crave Review & Giveaway

Usually Peanut Butter is just.. Peanut Butter, sometimes there is Mocha, or Hazel nut, but there really isn't a lot of other choices. I came across PB Crave online, and just had to try it. I received Coco Bananas, Razzle Dazzle, Choco Choco, and Cookie Nookie to sample, and review. I ate a little bit on graham crackers as a late night snack. I also got an even bigger sweet tooth, and wanted Cherries ontop.

Hint, hint, maybe PB Crave will come up with a Dark Chocolate Cherry PB Crave. That would be a great addition!

Coco Bananas(Bananas, Cocoa, & Wild Honey) is delicious, and was my 2nd favorite. You can taste the banana swirls, along with the chocolate. Even after each bite theres still that lingering banana taste still in your mouth. It's a great combination.

Razzle Dazzle(Red Raspberry & Wild Honey) is good too, its my 4th choice but my husband liked it, and he's already ate the whole jar already. I thought it was good, but not in my top favorites. I don't like raspberry that much, so having that raspberry after taste isn't something I like. To each their own. If you love raspberry, this is something you should try.

Choco Choco (Wild Honey, Semi Sweet & Dark Chocolate is delicious, and my 3rd favorite. Its chocolate swirls, with chocolate, and peanut butter. It is something that would be great when you get that chocolate sweet tooth, but think of it like this, You get all that extra protein too! Protein is good.

WHOLLY Guacamole Review & Giveaway!

WHOLLY GAUCAMOLE! Let's say it again, WHOLLY GUACAMOLE!, the new line by Wholly Guac has me so excited! I was sent a cooler full of wonderful samples of the New Wholly All Natural Salsa, along with Wholly Americas #1 Guacamole, and Wholly Chunky Avocado.

And, for you most awesome of people, YOU! I get to do a giveaway for a follower! You get to win a cooler full of WHOLLY GUACAMOLE! products too! How Wholly awesome is that? It's Wholly Guacamole Awesome.

I'm one of those people that absolutely loves avocados. Sometimes it's impossible to find the perfect ripe ready to eat one. You have to check ripeness by firmness, if it yields when you gently press in then its ready, but if it doesn't you still have a few days to go. If the Avocado is "Soft" when you gently put pressure on it and it gives in too easy it will be too ripe and have an overly earthy musk taste to it. Also check by color, but sometimes color can be misleading. It's just a whole lot of unwanted effort looking for the perfect one. I was beyond thrilled that Wholly Guacamole has Already Ripped, ready to eat Chunky Avocados that you don't have to do anything to prepare! Just open, and eat.

I made something that I call Avocado Shrimp Slaw. It's just a Slaw Mix with Cabbage, and carrots, You add the Avocado, and some shrimp, I like a small amount of mayo in it too. Cut up a few sweet cherry tomatos, and you are done. It's fast, easy, and so perfect for these hot summer days that no one wants to cook.

I also tried just tortilla scoops with the Roasted Tomato salsa, and a little bit of the Red Pepper & Mango ontop. I loved the contrast between the sweet mango, and then the heat of the roasted tomato. Both were chunky, and that does make great salsa. I don't like my salsas watery, and trust me that these ones are not.

Something that is also really good to try is using the Avocado Verde ontop of Grilled Burritos. I tried this last week, and was blown away at how delicious the Avocado Verde is. Think of crisp green tomatoes, and avocado that melts in your mouth as you bite down into that grilled burrito. Mmm, yeah. There are lots of yummy recipes on the Wholly Guacamole Website.

Onto the Giveaway!
Sorry, but this is for US Residents only. :Sad face:

EVOL's Get Your Grill On Review!

I wasn't quite sure what to expect when I was asked to grill frozen burritos. I am always up for a challenge, and so I made this EVOLS Get Your Grill on Summer Promotion into something delicious! Since I was going to grill the burritos, I wanted something else on the grill too. I placed the Burritos in the fridge the day before so they would thaw out before grilling. Evol has info on their Website on Ways To Cook their foods, just to give you an idea that you don't have to eat the same thing, the same way, all the time.

I boiled a few ears of corn on the stove, just so when I grilled it later it would be all the way done.

I prepped Green Peppers, Orange Peppers, Onions, Sweet Cherry Tomatoes, Pineapples, and cherries.

For the Kabobs I used Metal Skewers since they are easy to wash, and no trash to throw away. I just had fun with placing what/where ever on the Kabob, I loved all the different bright colors.

When it was time to grill I used my Indoor Electric Grill. It had been storming, and really high winds, There are still homes here in Columbus that are without power. I was blessed that my power was still on, and I could grill inside. Indoor grilling happens. I love my Electric Grill. It's more like a real grill, than a press. You still get that grilled/smoked flavor.

For the Evol Burritos, Kabobs, and corn I brushed a thin coat of Safflower oil, Since everything was prepped, and the corn was already 2/3's done I placed all the food on the grill at the same time.

I was extremely pleased with the end results on grilling the burritos. My husband couldn't take the smell much longer, I thought he was just going to attack it, and eat it all before I could snap pictures.

I also added some guacamole verde. The burritos I grilled were, Cilantro Lime Chicken, Shredded Beef, Bean Rice & Cheese, and Chicken Bean & Rice. I love that Evol is All natural. There are also burritos, wraps, and flat breads. I would love to try the flat breads. The burritos were delicious tho I am not really a burrito person. Evol's were tasty, but I like more vegetables in mine when I prepare them myself with black beans. Now a flat bread? That's my love.

I cut the burritos in half and put a different half on each plate (For my husband, and I) so I could try one of each. And, I loved them all, The Cilantro Lime was my favorite, it had a Lime kick to it. They were all full and, very filling. The shredded beef was my 2nd favorite.

You can find Evol on Facebook, Twitter, and their own Blog.

Enter to win an EVOL Prize Pack!!! Including, Free Product Coupons, and EVOL Swag.
