Fantasy Kingdom of #Bottersnikes & Gumbles are now on #Netflix #Spon

I am a huge fantasy nerd. I grew up on Jim Henson, J.R. Tolkien and Brian Froud Art. I share that love with my family now. So when I come across series on Netflix like Bottersnikes & Gumbles that have great animation, catchy tunes soon as the show starts, and is funny with positive life lessons, I want to share that with my family, and friends. I really enjoy the detail to these characters personalities, and the artwork on this series. They are based on childrens books that were published between 1967 - 89! The detail of the characters from the Books, are definitely shown in detail in the series too.

Tink is hilarious to me. His personality reminds me of my Son, who wants to do everything himself, and only his ideas, but is learning that you have to listen to others, and play together. My son also reminds me of Glob. Glob, and Tink are so much a like even though physical appearance they are different. You really need to check this series out. It's playful, and just overall a blast to watch the high energy Gumbles, and the oh, so serious, Botternikes.

"Bottersnikes & Gumbles" was released on Netflix this month.  There are 26 episodes.  This show is currently on the Seven Network in Australia and on CBBC in the UK. The "Bottersnikes & Gumbles" series is based in a fantasy kingdom of rusting junk and abandoned things from the human world. This series is based on a beloved series of children's books.

You can also check out Bottersnikes & Gumbles on,

This review was made possible by iConnect and Bottersnikes & Gumbles. I was provided compensation to facilitate this post, but all opinions stated are 100% mine.

Fisher-Price - Think & Learn Code-a-pillar™ #Review We LOVE it! @BestBuy @fisherprice #TechToys #Ad

My favorite feature about Fisher Prices new Code-A-Pillar Think & Learn Tech Toy is that it interlocks as easily as connecting USB ports together.  It also had a lot of fun sounds, and lights for each code that it programs to do by the different segments.

My 5 year old is autistic and is delayed in certain cognitive skills, and has trouble with his hands sometimes but the moment he picked the interlocking segment pieces up to the Code-A-Pillar he knew how to connect them.  They are a much more fun, and interactive way to problem solve and develop critical thinking than the typical lacing beads that can be boring for children that crave sensory needs.

I really believe this will keep any childs attention while learning to code, and learn cause & effect by having fun.  Some of the sounds it makes even made me giggle, I thought what a sassy Code-A-Pillar! When it does run into something, it stops completely and it's eyes light up, and makes a noise so that they know to change direction or rearrange the combination of the segments so that it can keep going.

Do you want to have first-hand experience and influence how your child will learn, build, and grow? Do you want to make it a fun and educational experience that you can both enjoy? With these new Kids Tech products/gadgets and learning apps, keeping your kids engaged couldn’t be easier. Find out more about The Code-A-Pillar by Fisher Price over at BestBuy,

Herokins - The Adventures of Learning Superhero Watch & App Review #InteractiveReadingApp #LearningApps #ComicBooks #Superheros #Spon

This is a sponsored post, all opinions are my own.  Herokins; The Adventures of Learning is a fun interactive way to combine a wearable super hero (McRed) while syncing to the Herokins App from your own device. He's bluetooth activated! And the adventure begins! Herokins IndieGoGo campaign is online. Pre-order your own Herokins today! http://ow.ly/PzjbD

I enjoyed Herokins just as much as my son.  My son has autism, and I am always trying to find interactive ways to keep his interest, and help with his social, and cognitive sensory issues. The Story Quests are interactive and go along with everyday tasks by just making those task have more adventure, and imagination.  Instead of the next story line popping up, you have to tap it, or do a fun, social interactive task together. One was to have both of us place our fingers to Open up a special task for McRed while he was fighting off General Grey.  Another interactive task was to Clap, tho my favorite one, was when I had to ask Sy to go stand behind an imaginary tree!  Also while all of this is going on, McRed (the Watch.) has a built in speaker.  I just liked how this can go along with his already schedule for ESY, and regular school year with the everyday tasks.  We can't wait til more Story Quests are added.  I noticed a speaker/music player on the dresser. Fingers crossed we get to see the Herokins/or some type of musical interactive story line.  This app & wearable super hero has a lot of playful, fun and learning potential.

My overall impression of Herokins, The Interactive Watch, and the StoryQuests is a positive one. The app loads fast,   it's easy to sync by pushing McReds belt.  Also if you don't want to wear him as a watch, he easily can be slid off the watch.  To charge both,  I just used the Kindle Fires usb Charger attachment.  The graphics are amazing, and fun.  I even giggled at the octopus on General Greys head after McRed helped save the day!

There is McRed, and Dr. Rose, depending on if your child prefers Red, or Pink.  I personally want a General Grey!

If you wan't to find out more about Herokins, check them out by going to, http://www.herokins.com/, on facebook, http://facebook.com/herokins, twitter, http://twitter.com/WorldOfHerokins

How-To-Paint Letter Wall Art by GreenVics

This is just an idea on how to decorate Letters for a babies wall on a budget.  If it's for your little one, or to give as a gift. Here is how I painted mine.

Go find whatever letters you need.  Sometimes they are on clearance.  Don't forget to check your Sunday papers for those 40% off craft store coupons that you can use on an item.  Ask people you know if you can have theirs too.

Royal Talens AMSTERDAM Standard Series Acrylic 2.5 oz.

5/0 Princeton Round
Also, don't go crazy with buying every color of paint you see.  All you need are a nice set of Standard Series Paints.  Something with Red, Yellow, Blue, Black & White paint. With those colors, You can make so many different shades.  You'll also need good brushes, don't be afraid to buy single brushes, the smaller, the better.  Especially for those small detailed lines.

The brush to the right is one of my favorite brushes.  It's a 5/0 round Princeton Preferred.  Love your art brushes, and take care of them!! Always clean them off after use.  A good brush will last a long time.

Just stick to the basics.  What is great about these Acrylic tubes are you will have so much left over for other projects that come along.  The brushes are a great investment as well.  The white brushes with the gold ends are by Trenton.

Trenton All-purpose synthetic brushes 1/4" Angle, #0 Round, #5 round, #6 Shader

You don't have to be an artist to create something.  Just have fun with it.  GO for it.  Worse case scenario, if you don't like it? Start over.   But, don't be hard on yourself.

Here's how I created mine.  Use a pencil to sketch what it is you want to draw (my favorite art pencils are by Faber-Castell.) Pencil first, with light lines in case you do want to erase something.

After you've sketched out your design , it's time to paint.  You don't need to use a special paint palette.  Grab a dollar store plate.

It's all about relaxing, and filling in the color.  Take your time,  This really does relax me.

After awhile it will start to come together.  For fun I made stripes on the sides of the letters that matched colors I had used for the characters.

The very last thing I do is add the black outline.  To do this just use the small brush, ,and when you are applying paint to it, roll the brush into the black side to side.  Test it to see how thin your line will be.

Really hope this motivates you into painting something special, and one of a kind for your little ones.  I've seen Dr. Seuss art, but I wanted a Dr. Seuss themed  letter wall art.  Maybe your theme is flowers, fairies, monsters, or other well known characters that it would be cheaper to paint your own.

Now, go create something! Don't have that mentality you aren't good at it.  First think of an idea that you want to try, or atleast a few colors you really want to add.  Start from there.  All art is, are lines, dots, colors, that create the overall picture.  It isn't going to look like what you want at first.  Tweak it, and make it yours.

Patch Products Toy Review, Let's Play! Pop! Pop! Piano, and Clifford Pair Up Card Game. Put the electronics down, and PLAY!

Sy is in love with his Path Products Pop! Pop! Piano.  From the time I received it to do a review for, he was infatuated with it.

Each key makes a different sound when played.  It also pops up a colored jack that matches each key.  Of course you can shake the piano and have it mix up the colors, and try to match them back where they belong by playing it.  He figured out how to flip the switch to have it play piano sound or fun sounds himself.

I know when he really likes a toy, it gets carried around, and set up like inventory with his other favorite toys. He took the plastic case off the Pop! Pop! Piano and we used it to show him different colors, and where they go.  There is really so many different ways to use the Pop! Pop! Piano.  You can even push the keys to have the kids run after the pieces when the plastic is off.

We just started to use matching flash cards.  Sy is 3, and still doesn't talk.  But he DOES know how to match things up, and things that sounds like each other.  He will also go get his toy, that matches the card too.

The Clifford Pair Up Card game has cute Dogs, Frogs, Squirrels, Girls, Clifford Characters to pair up. Sy's favorite thing to do is pair the Dog, and the Frog together.  The plastic Clifford Dog house storage case is a nice touch to pack the cards back up when we are done playing with them.  The other flash cards he has just come in little cardboard boxes, so this one is definitely great for storage, and wear.

You can find these products, and much more for children of all ages at Patch Products.

Check Patch Products out for yourself, http://www.patchproducts.com/

Disclaimer: I received products to facilitate a review.  Well, Sy received products to Play! and Have fun. Which he did.  Put the electronics down, and PLAY!

Plan Toys Wooden Toys #Review. #HolidayGiftGuide

PlanToys has some of the cutest, educational, recycled wood from expired rubber wood tree toys we have had the honor of reviewing.  Not only are the Wooden Toys, fun, but they are also educational along with playful colors, and activities.

The first Educational Wooden Toy my little one wanted to play with (Yes he saw the boxes, and immediately wanted to play with them.) was the Stacking Wooden Bear.  What I found unique about this toy was that each stacking circle piece, had a different shape wooden piece inside too.  It's like a puzzle instead of a puzzle.

Once put together, the Stacking Bear Wooden Toy looks like this.

Then we played with the My Mood Memo.  What is different about this wooden toy is the vast face/emotion shapes that come with it.  Also an Emotion Color wheel.  It is helping a lot to show my Sy his different emotions, and expressions.

Like this one,  He was upset that I would not let him climb the TV, so I showed him what the angry one expressed.  He is learning, which makes me happy.  He has sensory problems, and toys like these mean a lot to us.  He is great at figuring things out in front of him.

More info about PlanToys! Kids can’t help love these classic wood pieces and PlanToys’ super green design is something we can get excited about as parents.

For over 30 years, PlanToys® has been recycling the wood from expired rubber wood trees to create beautiful wooden toys that inspire children’s imaginations and promote a commitment to sustainable play for generations to come.

School Of Wash Hand Made Hair & Body Spritz Review, in GreenTea & Lemon Grass.

You had me at Lemongrass & Greentea.  Not only did School Of Wash create Handmade Bath Products, like Hair and Body Spritz, but it is also Paraben-free, Talc-free, SLS-free, Sulfate-free, Sodium Chloride-free and no added colors or dyes.  I am totally a healthy hair snob, mainly because I donate my locks, and if it's not good enough for my hair, it's not good enough for my son's either.

The first thing I noticed about the spray, was the aluminum bottle.  As soon as I opened the box, I spritzed my hair, and face. Experienced a fine, cool mist on my face.  It's humid here lately, so it was highly welcomed, and much needed.  The scent of the Lemongrass & GreenTea Hair & Body Spritz genuinely compliments eachother perfectly without overpowering.   It's just a light, natural crisp aroma. The best I can explain the scent, is a sweet, earthy smell.  Some of the ingredients inside the spray itself are organic aloe juice, witch hazel, organic black willowbark extract, and tea tree essential oil. Since it passed my test, I decided to try it on my 2 year olds hair.  He has super fine strawberry blonde hair that he will twist, and knot up.  With the School Of Wash Spray It hasn't been a horrible task to keep his handsome locks straight. Great products like these just aren't for little girls.  I prefer products like these for my son.  It smells great, it does a superior job keeping his hair shiney, and knot free.  Plus he knows he's adoreable, and isn't stinky.

Bonus. School Of Wash can be for Her, Him, Kids, and Pets.

There are literaly hundreds of different hand made scent variations to pick from School Of Wash. I am a sucker for leave in conditioners, and I find myself using SOW, and backburnered the others. I already want to try SOW's Cherry Almond, and then the Eucalyptus & Spearmint. Honestly, One of every smell I would probably squeal over, and baby my hair even more (I still haven't cut it yet this year to donate to locks of love!! I am going to soon. This will be my 5th time donating since Fracturing my leg.  I figured since I have cadavers, and an ORIF in my leg, the most I can do is donate my hair to someone that needs it, someone donated their bones so I can still walk. I'll keep donating my hair til that day comes I can give more too.)

I honestly spritz my face, and hair before leaving the house into this heat.

School Of Wash has earned a Label on my blog, as Holiday Gift Guide Worthy.  Well for any time of the year too, but if anyone wants to know what to get me, or to donate one to someone in need?? THIS! This would be great!  For more info on how to donate to A Little Sunshine In A Bottle, to help The organization, Lily Pad, whom provides a 24-hour crisis line, forensic interviews, forensic exams and evidence collection, medical accompaniment, legal advocacy and support groups for victims and their families. , you can read it here on School Of Wash's page.  Everything behind this company is admireable.  It's unreal that this was created by love, and wanting to share at camp, to now this.

I received product to facilitate a review.  The Product does say external use only, and keep out of reach of children, which is normal.  That just means don't let the kiddo drink it, or rub it in membranes that shouldn't have anything irritable in, 'nuff said.

Don't forget to check out School Of Wash at SchoolOfWash.com, Facebook, and Twitter.  Think you've tried a lot of differen't hair, and body spritz,  browse through their drop down menus for scents, and I bet there's atleast 100 varations you haven't tried yet.

Begin Again Toys For The Hero Review

Everyone that has a toddler knows that the calm sometimes is far, and few these days.  I am always on the look out for playful toys that my 2 year old will enjoy.  Especially bath time Toys.  Bath time is my 2nd favorite, next to Bed Time of course.  But Bath time I can just sit & talk to Sy while he plays in the water.  He likes to float, and kick his feet like he is swimming.  He loves bath time, therefor I love that he loves bath time.  He's actually one of those kids that cries when it's time to get out the water.  He's just like his Mama, a water creature at heart.  I grew up around the water. I was always swimming at the beach, and playing in the marsh.  So it's really nice to see how much he loves playing in water too.
The bath toy he is reviewing  is by Begin Again Toys.  It's a bath time ball filled with Toys For A Hero.  The toys are made from heavy duty rubber.  They are Dish Washer, and Pool Safe.  The Rubber is flexible, and does not break when you bend it.  He's actually chewed on these because he likes the sound the rubber makes when they squeak.  He bites hard too, and his biting doesn't even leave a mark on these toys.  I really love that about Begin Again.  The toys are high quality, and for the imagination.

Sy loves the little red diver.  He gets carried outside the bathroom, and lays around with him until bedtime.   The Octopus, and Sharks are equally as cute tho.  The whole set is different, and unique.  I am a sucker for bath time toys, crayons, and paints for the tub.  When he is done with the bath tub Ball, I just hang it from the tubs faucet, and there is nothing for the water to stay inside like some toys get nasty because it's hard for water to drain off it.  This doesn't have that problem.
You can find Begin Again Toys on Amazon, and At Whole Foods.  There are even wooden puzzles, yoyo's, art kits.  You should really check them out on Amazon.  There are some great sales right now with free super saving shipping.  I know some people don't live close to a Whole Foods, so this is great you can still find them online too.

To find out more about Begin Again, check them out on their website, and social media outlets below.  If you have any questions, just ask them! They are a great company.

Aveeno Baby Eczema Therapy Bath Treatment Review

Bath time is baby Sy's absolute favorite time.  He gets to splash, play with his toys.  Sometimes even make a mess with his bath tub crayons, and paint.  His skin is very sensitive, and he has Eczema patches..  What I found that helps his skin, and bath treatment that even my mom used to us growing was Oatmeal baths. Especially since we lived near the marsh, and woods.  We were always being ate by bugs, and getting into poison ivy, and sumac that she had a stockpile of the oatmeal soothing relief packs.  I love that they make a line just for babies now for it.

The New Aveeno Active Naturals Eczema Therapy Line has been awarded the National Eczema Association Seal of Acceptance. Fragrance-free. Dye-free. Alcohol free.

Aveeno Baby Eczema Therapy is perfect for Sy.  It's soothing, and just one packet is enough to bathe him in.  He enjoyed how it turned the bath water into a milky white color.  Also, it's great for diaper rash, all rashes really.  Mosquito bites, since summer will be here soon.  Oatmeal baths are ideal for skin irritations.

Aveeno Baby Cleansing Therapy, Moisturizing Wash contains the same Oats, and natural colloidal oatmeal as the Soothing Bath Treatment.  I like to use just a little bit of this on a wash cloth, and some on my little ones hair.  I think it makes an overall head, to toe wash for his sensitive skin.
Aveeno Baby Ezcema Therapy Moisturizing Cream has a thick consistency.  After his oatmeal bath, I rubbed just a little of this on his face, and his arms where he breaks out the most.  I noticed a drastic change with in minutes.

We have always been a fan of Aveeno.  One of my favorite lotions to use for Sy is the Calming Comfort Lavender Lotion.  Receiving these items for free to review just made me realize how great of a company Aveeno is, and that the products did help with his skin problems.  If it's good enough for your babies skin, of course even as an adult you can use the Oatmeal baths, and Lotions too.

Go give Aveeno some love on Facebook, http://www.facebook.com/aveeno.  Do you use Aveeno? Or have any memories using Aveeno as a child? I love that I get to share the product with my Son now.
