All Natural Rodo's Balm Review by Life According To GreenVics,

Lip balm to me should always be natural!  Why in the world would any one put harsh chemicals on themselves? Let alone lips!  I recently reviewed Rodo's Balm., and I have nothing but positive things to say about this new brand.  It's also extremely affordable at just $3.50.  The balm goes on smooth, it did help protect my lips from this arctic blast wind here in Columbus, Ohio. Tonight it is 9 degrees.. with a windchill of -10.. I am plastering lip balm on! 

Vanilla Coffee - This balm was my absolute favorite (Maybe I am just biased because I have a huge love for coffee.)  There is a sweet taste that blends in with the coffee flavor.  This is one of those flavors that it becomes quite addictive reapplying the balm based on enjoying the smell/flavor itself.  The soft lips were just a bonus.

Bubble Gum - It's just one of those retro flavors that does trigger memories of being young, and retrogressing back to a time that I was growing up.  It smells/tastes just like Bazooka Joe gum to me.  My 2 year old kept giving me kisses when I wore this flavor.

Tropical Coconut - With this arctic blast weather, and windchill feeling as if it's -10 this week I enjoyed this flavor.  Tho, at my age, it makes me want pina coladas, haha.  

Natural Unscented Matte - The Natural Matte was my husbands favorite balm.  He isn't into flavored chapstick, but he will wear the unscented balm before going out into this weather as lip protectant.

All of these balms are natural, and cold pressed. The ingredients are easily read, and identified (almond oil, beeswax, etc.) I can't wait for what's next for Patrick Rodo.  The genius behind these natural balms  just graduated High School (yes, that makes him 18), and his passion shines through in the quality of these balms.  I'm hoping for Body Butters, or Oils next!  I received these balms for free, I was not told what to write, or say, opinions are my own!

December was a generous, and beautiful month for Starlooks.com, Starbox!  When I thought the boxes could not possibly get any better than the last.. they did! I am always surprised by the quantity, and quality received.

This 15 pallet has a mixture of matte, and shimmer colors.  Usually I stay away from shimmer, but since this monthly box to me is all about trying products outside my comfort zone I tried the shimmery pinks, and greens.

Starlooks.com monthly subscription boxes can be purchased for $15.00/month, and can even be gifted.  If there is a month you didn't purchase, and would like to try,  you still can!!  Oh.. and shipping is FREE.

What I really enjoy about StarLooks is that I'm just your average 30 year old American Mom.  Sometimes I don't feel "pretty", so it really is nice to have a monthly box that is worth the $15.00, every product they send are full sizes, and top quality.  Usually they send 3-4 items.  Decembers box was retailed at $99! The eye shadow set was huge! ( It did not cost $99.00, December it was only $15.00!)

Even as I look through past reviews I can personally tell that I am getting better at doing my own make up.  This box is playful, and I can't express how much I love that without going.. I felt as if Starlooks November Monthly Subscription Box was created specifically for me. This months theme was "Nasty Girl," these are shades I would've picked out too.  I like earthy tones, browns, greens, even silvers, and bronze.  

As you can see I have fair skin, and dark hair.  The tendergloss lipstick I received compliments my dark features perfectly.  The lipstick made my lips soft from being a moisturizing gloss.  I like that I still look "natural," and not too glam.  

The browshader came with four different colors.  I really do like the pigments.  They went on easily, blended no problem.  Mostly, I liked that this Nasty Girl look, looked good on me. Lol

If you don't know what Starlooks.com is, it's a Monthly subscription box that costs $15.00.  Usually the boxes come with 3-4 items.  I really enjoy these monthly boxes because it's something fun to do, and use.  Especially since sometimes I'm just not feeling like I'm "pretty," and the kids sucking my essence dry.  It reminds me I can still doll myself up, and get out side my comfort zone.  This box is helping me try things I would have never thought of trying before.

Not sure if I was using the tool right, but when placed like this, I then applied mascara, and my eyelashes are already long, but I did make them look even longer after applying and useing the other side of the brush to brush them apart. 

Each box also comes with a quartz crystal.  The idea is to collect enough crystals to create a brush holder with them.  I can't wait til I have enough.

These are fun monthly boxes.  Maybe you are a person that likes to mix things up, and try an abundance of new things.  Plus, the products are always top notch.  

The clear quartz smaller crystals in the front are the crytals Starlooks sends in their monthly boxes. I collect a lot of things! These are completely perfect for my personality. I'm all for positive energy that helps me focus! 

I don't have enough crystals to hold my brushes yet but I am getting there.

This is the Smoobee Magic No Cry Brush!  Both my son, and I have a very sensitive scalp.  If you look at the brush, it's different than other brushes.  There are two different types of bristles.  Small softer black ones inside, and the long white ones on the outside.  This gave a more even, gentler stroke when I brushed our hair.

Every other year I donate 10+ inches to Locks of Love.  So I love my hair, and a hair brush that does not break my hair is always good.  Knowing what I like, and what works best, gives me a sense of relief when I use it on my kids hair. 

The brushes handle is wooden, it's very well made, and worth the $17.99.  They can also be bedazzled! Check out Smoobees site for cute ideas. Tho, I think they are great for all kids hair, not just for girls.  My sons hair is getting long, and it's perfect for his.

Starlooks.com is a $15.00/month Subscription box. This is the 2012 September Box. Included in the box are 6 Full Size products.  There are various signature sets that can be purchased separate if you like what was in your sample box.  The Makeup included in this months box were a 5 palette eye shadow, clear primer, little jewels for your eyes/brows/wherever you want.  And, a Quartz crystal.  

StarLooks ranges from 3+ Full size products that are worth double the price of the box.  I was impressed with the products I received to review.  I also had fun trying the products out on myself.  

Below is a Video I made showing that I received in the box, and how it is mailed.   Starlooks comes Gift Boxed, and really did make me feel like a star.  

The fact that this box came with 5 monochromic eye shadows and a clear primer.  Along with the diamond jewels were a fun touch.  Septembers box was playful to me, and made me want to shine.

There is a Starlooks:Looksbook How-To on ideas to use what's being sent for the month.  Or, you can just create your own.  I just had fun with mine.  The Looksbook has some wicked ideas, and images.  I saw some past boxes that I wish I had known about before.

My Impression of Septembers Monthly box:  Playful! Fun! The diamonds made me feel classy, and like I was a Hollywood pinup.  I think this monthly subscription box is well worth the $15.00/Month.

What I enjoyed about this Trio the most, was the amazing smell of the trio & the results each gave my skin.

The Amazon7 Trio consists of Cleansing gel, Serum, and Moisturizer.  Each full of the Super7 Fruits. That's what gives it that amazing smell.   

Amazon7 Age Combat Cleansing Gel, 16oz. has just the right consistancy, and soap lather.  The Aroma of the Mango stands out the most to me, and made me look forward to washing my face. 

Amazon7  Age Combat Serum, 1oz. I really thought worked fantastic. After washing my face I used the serum, and it felt cool on my warm skin.  I always get hot, and over heated when I get out the shower.  Even if I wash with just warm water, I feel too hot.  The Serum cooled my skin down. 

Amazon7 Age Combat Moisturizer, 1.7oz. After using this my skin seemed to glow.  It also felt, and looked smoother.  The smell again, I just couldn't help but want to apply. 

The Trio reinforces your skin with vitamins and nutrients. What also helps is that it contains Amazon Super Fruits. The Hyaluronic acid helped give my skin that healthy glow without being harsh on it. I was a little worried about drying my skin out, but really the balance it gave my skin is well worth it. I did give this Amazon 7 Trio a longer review because before using it my face had been breaking out.  I am 30 years old, and whenever I break out I feel horrible about myself, and what it's doing to my skin. I really do like the tone of my skin afterwards.

I have been embracing make-up.  I used to think all make up would clog my pores, and make ones face seem oily til I discovered Mineral Foundation.  I don't think of make up like that at all now.  Ideal make up for me would be age-defying, hydrating, and full of minerals.  Something that will not make me look older, or oily.

Mia Mariu  Perfecting Finish Mineral Foundation did not clog my pores, my skin looks even toned even without any powder, and I don't feel oily.  Honestly I forget it's even on.  There is no weird make up scent.  No uneven skin tones,  for someone that doesn't do her makeup I even had an easy time applying it.  What makes Mia Mariu stand out to me than the rest are the natural minerals, green tea, lecithin, and vitamins A&E.   I'm someone that believes in skin hydration, not to just cover up the problem areas.

Now lip gloss I am not afraid of at all.  I was excited that Mia Mariu sent me Dulzura (Sweet) Luminous Lip Gloss.  The gloss really is sweet,  after I applied it, I just wanted to smack my lips together because it tastes like cake.  I usually don't wear pinks, but it grew on me.  It doesn't look bad on me at all.  It's not too shiny, and not too dull.  It's also full of vitamins.  This is a color I can see myself wearing to any event, day or night.  Plus, with the cooler weather approaching, it's nice to have lip gloss on to protect my lips from the elements.

I'm loving this line on me.  I've received so many compliments on my skin, and lips today that I will continue to wear Mia Mariu.  I know once my sister see's this shade of pink, and smells it she's going to be begging me for it, but no way! It's mine!  I received these products to sample for free for my honest, open opinion, but my Sis doesn't need to know that.

Harvey Prince Eau Flirt 100ML Review & Giveaway

Right now I am wearing Flirt on one wrist, and Ageless on the other.  Does that make me an Ageless Flirt? I love this perfume line.  The history of this perfume is a little different than just Oh, Someone wanted their own perfume line.  Nope, Harvey Prince came to life by two brothers who wanted to make a pure, inspired fragrance that their mom could wear.  Anybodies mom could wear.  Harvey Prince is family oriented. 100% Eco-Friendly, and High Quality ingredients. 

I'm somewhat a fragrance snob, I can't  stand strong, overly  musk "Mom Scents", we all know the kind.  Think back to that last smell you caught a whiff of some ones strong perfume as you were just walking through the store.  Even worse.. you are stuck behind them in line.  I never want to be that person.  I want a scent that is light, and makes me feel young.  I like to be playful, therefor my scent should be playful too.

Eau Flirt, Consists of Lavender, Pumpkin Pie, Citrus, Jasmine, Freesia, Ylang Ylang, Nutmeg, Cinnamon, Amber, when combined, turns you into a Wicked Sparkling Seductress.  Flirt smells wonderful on my skin.  I've never been a person that bought something because it smelled good on another person.  I am that person that will wear it, test it on their own skin.  Some scents smell different, on different people. On my skin, once my skin reacts to it, I can smell the Freesia, Amber and Citrus more.

The spray on the 3.4 FL Oz for the Eau Flirt more so Mists you, than just spritz  I love that about it,  It only takes a few mists til I believed I smelled unstoppable.  

I also received a few samples of  Ageless, Hello and Yogini.  

The roll on Ageless is terrific, and so easy to use, this went straight into my purse.  Ageless consists of Pink Grapefruit, Pomegranate, Mango, Jasmine, Tuberose, Ylang Ylang, Sandal Wood.  At first smell I could really experience the Jasmine & Sandal Wood.  Once it's been on my skin, that's when I smell the Mango, and Grapefruit.

I love to wear the Ageless with Eau Flirt.  Combined I am an Unstoppable Immortal Goddess. 

Hello, and Yogini I received were the smaller sized spray samples, Both I enjoyed as well. 

Hello consists of,  Meyer Lemon, White Grapefruit, Satsuma Mandarin, Summer Forsythia, Pink Plumeria, Wild Verbena, Tahitian vanilla, Sensual Musk. What I loved about hello, was its Crisp, Freshness.  I loved the Citrus Aromas it possesses.  

Yogini consists of, Sandalwood, Golden amber, Sensual Incense, Egytian myrrh, Pink Grapefruit, Blackcurrant Buds, Lily of the valley, Star Jasmine, Rose Petals, Ylang, Ylang, Cardamom, Madagascar Vanilla.  

I'm really starting to favor the Yogini too,  The more I smell it on me, the more I really enjoy what scents I am experiencing when my skin heats up, and reacts to it.  I can smell the Lily Of The Valley, and Myrrh the most on me.

My overall impression of Harvey Prince is, this is a company that cares deeply about their senses, and scents.  They also strive for others to experience high quality ingredients that makes others feel great about ones self.  It's not just about throwing things together, but more so about that connection between the person wearing it.

Thank you Harvey Prince for making something so delicious for the senses, and real perfume for real women. "Feel Good, feel young, feel happy."

NuNAAT Chocolat Special Review & Giveaway

When you think of Chocolat Special, What do you think of? Almost for a week now I've been endulging in Chocolat, but it's not what you think. No, it's not unwanted calories, I don't have to spend that extra 1 hr 20 mins on the elliptical. I've been washing my hair with Chocolat Special by NuNAAT.

This was my first time using a shampoo thats active ingrediants are Cocoa Butter, and Brazil Nuts. My hairs almost to my waist, so it takes alot of shampoo to wash it, and I do baby it. Every time I get more than 10+ inches, I donate it to locks of love. Hair care really is a must for me. The hair I donate I want it to be healthy, and beautiful.

The Chocolat Special Collection I received for free from NuNAAT was Shampoo, Conditioner, Cream Chocolate Mask, and ANTIFrizz Therma Active Chocolate. Although I enjoyed the Shampoo, and Conditionor, I wish they were more than 8.4 oz containers. The bottles just felt so tiny to me. The product itself is great, it just takes alot in my hair to lather. It's not the product, but its my hair itself. "It's not you, it's me." The Cream Chocolate mask I've only used once, It's extremely thick, you could possibly skip the regular conditinor step, and go straight for the Chocolate Mask. My hair isn't dried out, because I never dye it, but I did want to try it to give my hair a deep conditionor for 20 mins. Also it's a 17.6 oz tub of it, I've added it to my monthly rountine for extra hydration. Now what I did love more than anything, was the AntiFrizz Therma Active Chocolate leave in cream, 5.2 oz. The cream is thick, and works best for my type of hair. I also have a great Ionic Blow Dryer brush that with this, and that combined, My hair looks salon quality. I've been using the AntiFrizz cream daily.

For all heat activated creams I use a special Ionic Blow Dryer brush. It really does make the experience better. You can also use the Heat Activated Cream with a flat iron. So, that's a nice option too.

I even caught my husband using the Chocolat Special shampoo. Sometimes he feels left out when I am reviewing things, so he tries the products too. (Look Falcon, I mentioned you! Woo!) He would make me sniff his hair afterwards each time. I always tell him.. yeah, I can smell that you've been using my shampoo. Love, love, love that Cocoa Butter scent.
