Enter to #WIN @TheSwissColony #Easter Family Treat Box, and Ham & Swiss Gift Assortment. 8 Lbs worth of Goodies. #Giveaway #Spon

Disclaimer:  I received product to facilitate a Review, and Giveaway is sponsored by The Swiss Colony.

The Swiss Colony is one of my all time favorite places for Meats, Cheeses, and Candy.  Seriously, there is something for every one there.  I thought why waste time on Easter Sunday preparing a meal, worrying about Candy.   When companies like The Swiss Colony can send all of this straight to your front door.

It's also easy to request a free  catalog from The Swiss Colony too, and drool over the selections (that's one of my favorite things to do.)  Or just check The Swiss Colony out online too (The Cheesecake makes me drool, every, single, time.) The Swiss Colony even makes Sugar Free, and Gluten Free treats.

If you want to order, As long as you order 4/9 Standard you'll have it on time.  4/15 Expedited, and 4/16 Express.

Whenever I think of Easter, I think of Jelly beans, Chocolate, and just sweets to snack on.  The Swiss Colony has a Easter Family Treats Gift Box that is full of something for everyone in the family. Below are just a few of my favorite treats that were in the Easter Themed Box that has little bunnies, and chicks on the outside.

The Bunny Shaped Gummi Rabbits were soft, and easy to chew.  Full of flavor.  Each color has it's own unique flavor.

The Sugar Coated Jelly Rabbits, and Chicks were soo Good! They pulled apart easy when chewing, and just melted in my mouth.

The Chocolate Malt balls I did not even want to share with the kids.  They were that good.  Once I bit into the crunchy candy outside, the layer of chocolate insde before the crunchy malt ball seriously were some of the best ones I've had, and they are pretty big.  Some I ate were at least an inch long.

The Popcorn was my son's favorite.  It Crunched, and wasn't too plain.  He's pretty picky about his popcorn, and he loved the Swiss Colonys. I tried some, and was yelled at by the 3 yr old that it was his.  So it must be good, when it's claimed.

Then we have the Salt Water Taffy.  Seriously, it's soft, stretches apart, and melts easily in your mouth.  Another one I did not want to share.  I did give some of these to my Dad that loves Salt Water Taffy too.

The Chocolate Covered Peanuts made my top favorites too.  Everyone in my family tried a few of these, they were tempting by the Milk Chocolate outside, and they did melt, and taste delicious.

I only listed a few of the treats in the box.  There are also pretzels, jelly beans, sixlets, and a Chocolate Easter Bunny.

My little Bubble Guppy lover helped me go through the box of Candy, and make baggies for Booty, Beck, and Sy.

As you can see, she claimed as many Sixlets as she could for helping.

Not only did we try the Easter Family Treats Gift Box, but we also pigged out on the The Swiss Colony Ham & Swiss Gift Assortment.

The Swiss Colony Ham is boneless, and 3 lbs.  We cut it up, and used it for Breakfast for everyone. It fed a family of 8 adults, and 5 kids.  We even cut chunks to put into home made Mac & Cheese. The ham was not salty, which is what I really love.  I can't stand a lot of salt and was amazed at how juicy, and fresh the meat tasted.  Even my mom that is pretty picky about her Ham, loved this. She was eating slices faster than it could be cut.

The 2 lb Baby Swiss I cut into thin slices, even had the baby swiss small holes in a few sections,  when sliced thin it made a lot.  I filled a whole gallon ziplock bag.  We also ate it with the Ham slices, and we are using it for sandwiches.  The swiss itself is was more white and just a slight nutty, buttery stinky flavor just the way I like my swiss cheese.  It wasn't too stinky, but just enough that you know it's Swiss.

One lucky follower has the chance to win The Swiss Colony Family Treat Box $39.95 and The Swiss Colony Ham & Swiss Gift Assortment $59.95.  That is over 8 lbs of Delicious, Easy Easter Meats, Cheese, and Snacks.

#HoneyBakedEaster Ham, Turkey, and Sides Review #Sponsored #Giveaway #EasyLikeSundayMorning #EasterMeals @HoneyBakedHam

Disclaimer: I received product for free to facilitate a review/giveaway.  All opinions, and photos are my own.

Hippity Hop, hop HoneyBaked Easter is on it's way!  Recently I received a Gift Card to put together a HoneyBaked Ham meal that my family would enjoy.  Which is really easy to do! HoneyBaked Ham isn't just Ham, there are other meats, and sides. There are always coupons to use that can be found directly on HoneyBakedForYou.com/

I wanted to just show up at the store this time with Gift Card in hand and choose items on a spur of the moment.  I wanted it to feel like a "OMG I didn't buy anything for Easter Brunch," feeling.

There were different Hams in the Fridge for me to pick from ranging from Mini to Large with, or without bone in.  HoneyBaked Ham also carries Smoked, or Roasted Turkey Breast too.  I couldn't decide just one, so I picked one of each.  For sides there were cold salads and take home sides in the Freezers.  Along with Bacon too.

Mini Ham with Bone; 3.77 lbs for $30.12
Smoked Turkey Breast, 3.14 lbs for $31.37
Broccoli Slaw, $1.99 x4
Macaroni Salad, $1.99 x4
Slice of Carrot Cake, $1.99

Ordering was easy in store.   Everything we tasted was Amazing.  Both meats were moist, and juicy with a thin outer crust of glaze.

The Broccoli slaw had crunchy florets, sweet raisins amongst other ingredients.  I loved the contrast between the greens, and sweetness. The macaroni salad had little chunks of Cheese.

I had a hiccup tho, she forgot to put my slice of Carrot Cake in the bag, and when I returned home I called.. still no phone call back from the Manager for the Newport News Virginia location.

The carrot cake looked so good, I bet it tasted as good as it looked too. My plan for the Carrot Cake was to cut it into squares and use it for bite size dessert.  I'll update this if the Manager calls me back.

The meal itself fed 8 adults, and 3 children.  Everyone loved the sweet glaze, and sides.  So if you are looking for an easy Easter Meal, but don't feel like cooking (or forgot to cook.) go to HoneyBaked Ham, or just call your local HoneyBaked Ham to see what their schedule is for Easter, and pre-order your meal to pick up, or just do like I did, walk in! Don't forget to print your coupons for HoneyBaked Ham from off their website. I justify meals like this by The time you get to spend with your family by not being in the kitchen cooking, and the energy saved by not using my oven.  It really is a win-win situation.

Also, don't forget to check out my other HoneyBaked Ham Review for the Ultimate Sandwich (I went in a day before, and ordered this for next day Cater at the Sawmill Rd, Columbus, Ohio Location.)

If you're looking for an Easter Brunch check out the Ultimate Sandwich, Dessert Tray, and Meat Platter.  I enjoyed the catering way better, because everything came with trays already, and tongs. Some items can only be catered, but if it's on a spur of the moment,  in store does have a selection of foods.

If it's just a sandwich you want, HoneyBaked Ham does that too!

Don't forget to enter to win a HoneyBaked Ham Gift Card by entering below! Good luck.

Few quick tips to help make your home a little more Energy Efficient.

Disclosure: Many thanks to Direct Energy for sponsoring today's story and inspiring me to live a smarter and more eco-friendly lifestyle!

Here are a few ways my family likes to make our homes a little smarter.

We buy nothing but Energy Star electronics to use it really is worth the extra cash to save on electricity in the long run.  We also only use LED lights.  They last us a while, and once again cheaper, I have seen dollar stores sell Energy Efficient LED lights for 2 for $1.00 before, and they seriously last us years.  I also don't like lights being left on,  and I am a firm believer in unplugging electronics when not in use.  I'm a true believer every little thing helps.

I like to take quick  Need help thinking of ways to make your home smarter? We’ve got a mixture of energy efficiency and smart home ideas for you!

1. Install a smart thermostat. Smart thermostats offer you climate control, the convenience of programming away from home, and more.

2. Your living room typically has multiple active light sources available. Make sure your lighting is energy efficient by switching traditional bulbs to CFLs or LEDs.

3. Replace your old, inefficient appliances with new, efficient, Energy Star® appliances. Old appliances tend to run inefficiently.

4. Replace the showerhead in your bathroom(s) with low flow showerheads. These showerheads regulate the flow of water, assuring you a more efficient shower.

5. Change your air filter every 1-3 months. Clogged air filters increase your energy costs. Even though smart thermostats will send out reminders, YOU still have to do it.

6. Be sure your air return vents aren’t being blocked by furniture or carpets.

7. Insulate and seal your duct work. Make sure that all your heated and cooled air gets circulated in the right places.

8. Make sure you have a strong Wi-fi signal from your smart thermostat and smart devices. Because you can remotely control your smart thermostat via the internet, periodically check the signal strength in the network settings on the thermostat’s control screen.

9. Unplug energy sucking devices when they are not in use. Common energy wasters include your computer, printer, DVD player, phone charger and any electronics attached to a power strip. Unplug these electronics at night or when you are away from home.

10. Reduce waste at home by paying your bills online and reusing plastic shopping bags after you go to the grocery store to line trash cans instead of throwing them away.

11. Using dishwashers and washer/dryers at night will keep the house cooler, reduce strain on the power grid during the peak usage hours of 4 PM and 6 PM and reduce the chance of an emergency!
